Initial sessions often include gathering information that can assist in the therapy process. This frequently includes individual time with caregivers/parents, time with the child, and time for the family and therapist to talk together.

Yes, it is not recommended that families with severe animal allergies attend in-person sessions. We are also not equipped to assist in situations with high conflict divorce or with crisis needs. We also do not serve clients who have a history of aggression towards animals.

The therapist will wait 15 minutes after scheduled appointment and service will be able to continue as usual. After 15 minutes, the appointment is considered missed and there is a missed appointment fee. Please communicate with your therapist as soon as you know you will be late or need to cancel/reschedule. Sessions canceled 24 hours before scheduled appointment will not be considered missed.

Yes, Kind Paws does take some insurances and also private pay. Please reach out to Kind Paws via the contact form to verify that we can take your insurance.

When you arrive, please text our number, 919-205-8074, and let us know you are here. The therapist will then meet you at the front of the building for your scheduled appointment.
